Rubber Equalizers Absorb Road Shock and Reduce Chucking

Rubber Equalizer Vs Standard Equalizer

Hauling a trailer that's still equipped with standard steel equalizers is bound to produce a less-than-ideal towing experience. This is because those standard equalizers allow the road shock from your trailer to transfer directly to your tow vehicle, resulting in a rough, bumpy ride.

In addition, road shock can put added stress on your trailer's frame, suspension, running gear, and more, all of which can lead to increased maintenance time and cost. It can also cause damage to the contents of your trailer due to constant chucking and jerking. And the last thing you want is for your electronics to be tossed around inside your RV before you set up camp, or for your horse to get jostled around as you bring him home from the show.

These rubber equalizers help to solve those problems. When road shock occurs while hauling your trailer, the rubber inserts absorb and dampen the vibration and bounce, resulting in a less bumpy ride. The inserts also absorb the back-and-forth movement to reduce chucking and jerking so that you don't get thrown around inside your cab.

CRE3000 Rubber Insert

Each of these equalizers also offers up to 3" of up-and-down travel. The more travel your suspension has, the better it is able to compensate for road shock. When you hit a pothole, for example, these equalizers allow your suspension to account for that dip on one side so that the opposite wheels aren't forced to compensate. As a result, you'll get a smoother ride, even when you're driving over uneven campground roads or speed bumps.

Easy Installation

These equalizers directly replace your trailer's factory equalizers, so installation is straightforward. Simply remove the shackle links from your factory equalizer and the shoulder bolt from the frame hanger. Remove the factory equalizer and replace it with the MORryde rubber equalizer.

MORryde Shackle Upgrade Kit

You can reuse your existing hardware with these equalizers, but we recommend using MORryde's suspension upgrade kit (sold separately). Factory shackle links wear out pretty quickly and easily, so replacing them with MORryde's thick, heavy-duty shackle links will save you the time and effort of having to frequently replace them. Not to mention you'll get easy-to-grease bolts and long-lasting bronze bushings with the kit for a totally upgraded setup.

  • How to Determine Replacement 6,000 lb Leaf Springs For Arctic Wolf 5th Wheel Trailer
Hey Bekzod, So while we don't have a way of knowing the exact leaf springs for your Arctic Wolf 5th wheel trailer, I can help you determine the correct replacements. You do have to take a measurement, though it's pretty easy, as all you need to do is measure your current leaf springs from center-to-center of the spring eyes. Regarding the accuracy, since the springs flatten a bit over time, you should go with ones that measure a bit shorter than what you currently have. For example, if...

  • Best Equalizer Suspension Upgrade For Tandem 3,500 lb Axles
Those are some good options, and the best overall upgrade (without getting too crazy like you said!) for your Jayco with tandem 3,500 lb axles is going to be the MORryde CRE3000 with the X-factor crossmember. The Road Armor is good, but the combination of the upgraded MORryde equalizers with the crossmember will give you more added benefit. The cushioned equalizers are going to provide you with a more comfortable ride due to their rubber construction and suspension travel, which is going...

  • How to Pick Out MORryde Equalizer Kit If Wheelbase is 34 inches
Hey Carl, this is a great question that we have checked with MORryde on in the past. They told me in your situation to have you measure from the center of the front hanger bolt to the rear hanger bolt to pick out the correct SRE4000. If that distance is 59 inches go with the # MR87ZR or if 61 inch # MR27ZR.

  • Upgrading Leaf Springs, Equalizers, and Wet Bolt Kit for 2018 Jayco 265RLS
Hey Jeff! I can help you find the right parts to upgrade everything but you're going to need to take some measurements. For the leaf springs, you will need to get the spring eye to spring eye measurement or the flat length as outlined in the article I attached further down on this page. You don't want to go too crazy with a higher capacity or you're going to get a rough ride. 4,000 lb leaf springs like the 25-1/4" Long # e57SR or the 26" Long # e22YR would be a good choice if they match...

  • Will MORryde X-Factor Crossmember Work With AllTrek 4000
Hey Jeff! I'm not sure who told you that but the information is incorrect. The MORryde X-Factor Crossmember can be used with the AllTrek 4000 like # MR29DR. The correct X-Factor crossmember is the # MR33WR which is the same as the XF12-001. You can see the compatibility chart from MORryde attached below. If you need anything else don't hesitate to reach out in the comments on this answer page.

Hey Lee! Thanks for your question but I do not have a database that will show me the wheel base on your 2010 Keystone Hideout 27DBS. Hey Justin! The correct CRE3000 for your 2021 Grand Design Imagine 2670MK is the MORryde Shock Absorbing Suspension Equalizers # MR27ZR. According to the Grand Design parts site you have 35" axle spacing so this is the right kit. They also show you have 2-1/4" shackle straps so you need the MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit for Tandem Axle Trailers # MR46ZR. Hey Frank, thanks for reaching out! The shackle straps that come with the Dexter E-Z Flex Suspension Kit # K71-653-00 measure 2-1/4" center to center for the bolt holes - this is the same for the regular kit as well as the kit we currently have listed at a lower price (which we do from time to time). A 1/4" difference between the shackles will be just fine so you can definitely use this kit. When it comes to the trimming with the installation of the MORryde Shock Absorbing Suspension...

  • What is Causing the Spider Webs Around Every Fastener on My Enclosed Landscape Cargo Trailer?
Hello Philip, I am sorry to hear that you are getting the webbing around every fastener oh the holding panel, sounds like you take great care of your trailer so that would be very frustrating. There is a couple of things that could have caused this: - Fasteners/Screws too tight/too loose: If they were over-tightened, they could have weakened the aluminum. If too loose, the panel may have shaken too much. - Corrosion from different metals – If steel screws were used on aluminum, they...

Thanks so much for that info, and to replace your current leaf springs that are 24 inches apart from center eye to center eye, you want springs that are slightly shorter because over time they flatten out. So for replacements I recommend 23-1/8" long springs: - 3-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 3,500-lb Trailer Axles - 23-1/8" Long # e59SR Then to replace your equalizer with a MORryde equalizer, you'll want to measure your axle from center to center, which will be your wheelbase, and the correct...

  • How to Determine if MORryde CRE3000 Will Fit 2021 Kodiak Ultimate 2921FKDS
Hey James, there isn't a specific trailer fit list for the upgraded equalizers like the MORryde part # MR87ZR but it is pretty easy to determine if this will fit or not. Measure the distance between the axle centers and if it's 33 inch this kit will work. If instead it's 35 inch you'd need the part # MR27ZR.
